Storytelling and youth representation are essential tools for engaging communities and inspiring change. Day 5 focused on mastering storytelling principles and empowering participants to envision their ideal youth council, fostering civic engagement and democratic participation.
🎭 Introduction to Storytelling:
The day began with a storytelling workshop designed to teach participants the art of creating and sharing impactful narratives.
Story in One Minute: In pairs, participants shared their life stories in one minute and then focused on a specific story, reflecting on how the listening experience changed and why.
One Group, One Story: In a group activity, participants co-created a story word by word while seated in a circle. The exercise encouraged creativity, teamwork, and reflection on what makes a story engaging and meaningful.
🏛️ Build Your Youth Council:
In this interactive activity, participants were divided into groups and tasked with designing a model youth council. Each group developed a structure, elected roles, and identified priority issues to represent their community's youth.
