Day 6 ✅ Unraveling Causes and Exploring Solutions

Understanding the interconnected nature of global issues is key to identifying effective solutions. Day 6 focused on exploring the root causes of challenges, prioritizing actions, and brainstorming impactful solutions, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexity and interrelation of global problems.

Intro to the Day + Energizers:
The day began with energizers to set a positive and focused tone for the participants, preparing them for the critical thinking and collaborative sessions ahead.

🌐 The Web of Life:
Through the “Wool Wide Web” exercise, participants visualized how interconnected we are in addressing global issues. Using a web of wool, they explored the relationships between various environmental, social, and economic factors, illustrating the ripple effects of actions and decisions. This activity emphasized the importance of systems thinking in tackling complex challenges.

🔍 5 WHYs Method:
In this session, participants employed the "5 WHYs" technique to dig deeper into specific problems. By repeatedly asking "why," they uncovered the root causes behind issues such as resource depletion, pollution, and inequality. This method encouraged critical thinking and helped participants reflect on the interconnections and systemic nature of these challenges.

📊 Ranking Activities:
Participants ranked global actors, issues, and sustainable behaviors to prioritize actions and solutions. This method fostered debate, collaboration, and a clearer understanding of what actions should take precedence based on impact and feasibility. It also helped participants critically evaluate their own roles in driving change.

💡 Finding Solutions:
In a guided discussion, participants reflected on the insights gained throughout the project and brainstormed solutions to the problems highlighted in previous sessions. The activity focused on actionable steps, encouraging participants to think creatively and collaboratively about how to address global and local challenges.

🏭 Reflection Groups – Factory of Learning:
Participants updated their "Factory of Learning," reflecting on their contributions, emotions, and learning outcomes from the day. This self-guided method encouraged personal growth and reinforced the value of the day’s activities.

🌍 Intercultural Night:
The evening was filled with joy and cultural exchange as participants came together to share traditional foods, music, and dances. This celebration of diversity highlighted the importance of unity and mutual respect in addressing global issues.

Final Thoughts:
Day 6 was a deep dive into understanding the causes behind global challenges and prioritizing impactful solutions. The combination of critical analysis, collaborative brainstorming, and cultural celebration left participants inspired and better equipped to drive meaningful change.
